Annual 2011 Board of Directors Election night. You must be a member of the Foundation in order to vote and run for office. To qualify you must attend three monthly meetings.

The Costa Mesa Bark Park Foundation would like to offer you a unique opportunity to sell your product/service, promote your business and come into contact with a large number of devoted dog owners and dog lovers; i.e. potential customers.

As you may know, Costa Mesa Bark Park is a leash free dog park located in the City of Costa Mesa’s TeWinkle Park. Since opening in October, 1994, Bark Park’s popularity has exceeded all our expectations and since the renovation has nearly doubled our already large attendance! Bark Park is utilized, not just by Costa Mesa residents, but by dog lovers from all over South Orange County – from Los Angeles to Big Bear.

The Costa Mesa Bark Park is self-supporting – relying solely on donated funds and fund raising events to meet the park’s financial needs. On Saturday, August 21, 2010, the Bark Park Foundation will be holding its largest fund raiser of the year; the BATH’STILLE DAY BOUTIQUE AND VENDOR FAIR.

The Bark Park Foundation has seen the product or service you offer and believes it would be of great interest to our Bark Park users. We would like, therefore, to offer you the opportunity to lease space to display, promote and sell your product/service at this event. Vendor booths will be set up in the parking lot adjacent to the dog park so that users must walk past the booths to get into the park.

Further information and details on how to lease a space are enclosed with this letter, along with a Space Layout, Application, a return envelope and a flyer from last year’s event. Space will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis and we expect an excellent turnout, so please return your Application as soon as possible.

• Spaces are $45 for Vendors with a Costa Mesa Business License each for a space.
(Fee is waived for non-profit and other not-for-profit organizations)

• Setup starts at 7:00AM and ends at 8:30AM.

• There are no electrical or water hookups. If you have special needs, please call the Foundation to make arrangements.

• 3′ x 6′ tables and canopies are available on a limited, first-come-first-serve, basis. (It may be hot so we strongly suggest you bring a canopy or umbrella and plenty of water!)

• PLEASE RESPOND BY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Spaces will be reserved on a first-signup basis.

If you cannot be with us on Bath’Stille Day but would like to be involved, the Foundation is offering vendors our “Absentee Vendor Program”. Under this program your business cards, brochures, and any literature on your products/services will be available to attendees during the event. This service is available with any $10 donation to the Foundation. All literature must be delivered to the Foundation by August 20, 2010.

Don’t be wishy-washy! Join us at Bark Park this year for our 14th Annual BATH’STILLE DAY DOG WASH AND VENDOR FAIR. For a mere $20 – and 100% of that goes to benefit Bark Park – our crack volunteers will suds up your dirty dogs and towel them dry. It is “one price fits all” and we wash any canine with four paws and a tail regardless of breed, size or hair-do! Take your dog into the park, let him roll in the dirt and then sit back and relax with one our gourmet hot dogs while you watch someone else wrestle your dog to the ground with a bottle of shampoo! It’s fun!
BATH’STILLE DAY also includes a Vendor Fair, dog Adoption and Rescue groups, an Opportunity Drawing, new Bark Park Boutique items and other festivities. This year German Shepherd Rescue is again offering and implanting microchips for your dog for the incredibly low price of $25! Come for breakfast and enjoy donuts and coffee — or come for lunch and choose one of our new gourmet hot dogs. For the children in all of us, an Ice Cream Truck will be provided by Desperate Paws Dog Club who will also be present as a vendor.
Please keep in mind that Bark Park is one of the few dog parks still open that is completely self-supporting. Except for basic maintenance provided by the City, all other expenses are paid from user and supporter donations and funds raised at events like Bath’Stille Day. This year the support of the community is more important than ever as City Budget cuts mean we will have to take over paying for the electricity for the park lights.
